Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has reiterated her party's demand for giving reservation to Muslim, Jat, poor of upper caste and other backward community. In a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Ms Mayawati has again said the Muslim and Jat should be given reservation as per their population and a seperate quota should be reserved for them besides including them in Central list.
The Chief Minister has sent the letter to the Prime Minister today asked him to convert some backward castes to Schedule Caste besides giving them quota as per their population. Ms Mayawati reiterated her demand for reservation for the poor of Upper caste besides has asked the Centre to sort out all the problems of Schedule cast and Schedule Tribes reservation. During the last fortnight, Ms Mayawati is regularly writting letter to the Prime Minister demanding reservation facilities for Muslims, Jat, Other backwards and Upper caste poors.
