Samajwadi Party to fight election on all Seats in Uttarakhand during assembly election 2012. The party released a list of 19 candidates and changed tickets for five constituencies today. The party leadership is still hopeful of a pre-poll alliance with “like-minded parties in the state.” “If we have an alliance with like-minded parties such as CPI or CPM, we might leave seats accordingly. But as of now, we are preparing the list of candidates for all 70 constituencies,” said Vinod Barthwal, party’s chief in Uttarakhand. A list of 13 candidates was declared earlier and 19 others were declared today, he said, adding that the remaining 38 will be soon decided. The SP had fielded candidates from 62 constituencies in the last Assembly elections in 2007, in which the party was unable to win even a single seat.
