The BJP on Friday came out with its fifth list of 34 candidates for Uttar Pradesh Assembly election. With this the party has announced the name of its candidates for 381 out of total 403 seats. The fifth list does not include any big names, including Uma Bharati, who is likely to contest from Bundelkhand region. Sources said there was a general agreement among the top BJP leaders that Uma, a firebrand OBC leader, should contest the election when the party was out to woo backwards. Bharati has been suggested a few seats in the Bundelkhand region and asked to choose from amongst them. Another list of BJP candidates is expected in the next a couple of days, which could include Bharati’s name. She is set to resume campaigning in the state after Ganga Snan on January 15, which marks the end of inauspicious month of Kharmas.
