Ajit Singh, Rahul gandhi's joint rally in Meerut today

Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) chief Ajit Singh  and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a joint poll rally at Meerut in western Uttar Pradesh Thursday. "The rally will be a display of the strengthening alliance between the two parties, which was formalised in December last," Congress leader Mohan Prakash said. Besides Gandhi and Ajit Singh, former union minister Rashid Masood, who joined the Congress recently, and the RLD chief's son and MP Jayant Chaudhary will also address the rally, RLD sources said. RLD joined the United Progressive Alliance in December whereafter Ajit Singh was included in the union cabinet as part of the poll pact between the two parties.
