Team Anna to start campaign from Barabanki, Gonda in UP today

Team Anna will begin its multi-city campaign in Uttar Pradesh from today on the Lokpal bill, pressing various political parties to make clear their stand on the issue In a statement released on Wednesday, the activists said they will hold meetings in Mahadev Talab Maidan in Fathepur of Barabanki and in Ramlila Maidan in Gonda on Thursday. Team Anna has claimed that they will not target any single party during the campaign but put forward the need for a strong Lokpal.
Arvind Kejriwal would not be part of the campaign as he is accompanying Anna Hazare for treatment to Bangalore. Team Anna would largely consist of Prashant Bhushan, Manish Sisodia, Kiran Bedi and Kumar Vishwas. Sisodia said, "We are going to constituencies as per the election schedule. I will be in UP throughout, while others could join the campaign at different places."  Team Anna also found fault with BSP chief Mayawati for not opposing the bill in the Standing Committee and walking out in the Lok Sabha which they alleged helped the UPA-II pass it in the Lower House. SP that opposed the bill in the Standing Committee, but walked out in the Lok Sabha was asked to clear its stand by Team Anna.
