Lucknow, Feb 19 (IANS) The fourth round of the seven-phased Uttar Pradesh polls in 55 constituencies got off to a slow start Sunday, with nippy temperatures keeping many voters away. By 9 a.m. around 8.7 percent had voted, election officials said.
Polling began at 7 a.m. in 11 districts, including Lucknow and Rae Bareli. A total of 1.7 crore people are eligible to vote in this round. Polling ends at 5 p.m. The last phase of the election to the 403 member assembly in India's most populous and politically crucial state will be held March 3 and votes counted March 6.
