Woman through slipper towards Mulayam Singh

Samajwadi Party(SP) chief, Mulayam Singh Yadav joined the elite group of Rahul Gandhi, P Chidambram, Sharad panwar and many renowned politician after being attacked with a shoe during an election campaign rally in Uttar Pradesh. Singh was in Baberu on Saturday, Feb 4 when a woman hurled her slipper on Singh. Mr. Yadav was leaving after addressing the rally when a woman threw her slipper at him. However, the slipper did not hit him. The woman, who was detained by police, claimed she was a rape victim and Mr. Yadav had promised to provide her Rs. two lakh in 2009 but did not honour his commitment. Justifying her act, the woman claimed that Mulayam Singh did not fulfill his promise and she has not yet received the money promised by the Samajwadi Party chief in 2006.Earlier shoe was hurled at Rahul during a rally in Dehradun on Jan 23.
