Uttar Pradesh Information Technology (IT) & Start-UP Policy 2016 (उत्तर प्रदेश सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी एवं स्टार्ट अप नीति, 2016): उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री श्री अखिलेश यादव की अध्यक्षता में यहां सम्पन्न मंत्रिपरिषद की बैठक में नई उत्तर प्रदेश सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी एवं स्टार्ट अप नीति, 2016 को अनुमोदित किया गया। यह नीति सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी नीति उत्तर प्रदेश-2012 में विद्यमान प्राविधानों के पुनरीक्षण एवं संशोधन के बाद प्रख्यापित की गई है, जिसके तहत ई-गवर्नेन्स एवं एम-गवर्नेन्स माॅडल को माध्यम बनाते हुए नागरिक सेवाओं में वृद्धि तथा स्टार्ट अप के माध्यम से नवोदित उद्यमियों को मौका प्रदान करने एवं शिक्षित युवाओं को अधिक से अधिक रोजगार सृजन करने पर बल दिया गया है। नई नीति नोएडा, ग्रेटर नोएडा एवं ट्रांस यमुना क्षेत्र सहित सम्पूर्ण प्रदेश के लिए प्रभावी होगी, जिसके तहत सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी/सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी जनित सेवा इकाइयों को 31 मार्च, 2020 को समाप्त होने वाली अवधि हेतु निम्न प्रोत्साहन की व्यवस्था की गई है।

Uttarakhand joins “UDAY” scheme

Government of India, the State of Uttarakhand and the Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) which takes care of the power distribution activity of Uttarakhand signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) under the Scheme UDAY – “Ujwal DISCOM Assurance Yojana” on 31st March, 2016 for operational turnaround of the DISCOMs. Under UDAY, ten states have signed MoU till date. The combined DISCOM debt that would be restructured in respect of these states is around Rs.1.96 lac crore, which is approximately 45% of the total outstanding DISCOM debt of Rs.4.3 lac crore as on 30th September, 2015.
The Government of Uttarakhand has taken a positive step towards supporting its DISCOM by signing the MOU under UDAY for further improving the operational efficiency of the already efficient DISCOM. Through compulsory Distribution Transformer metering, consumer indexing & GIS mapping of losses, upgrade/change transformers, meters etc., smart metering of high-end consumers, feeder audit etc. AT&C losses and transmission losses would be brought down, besides eliminating the gap between cost of supply of power and realisation. The reduction in AT&C losses and transmission losses to 14.50% and 1.78% respectively is likely to bring additional revenue of around Rs.645 crore during the period of turnaround.
